Job summary

Lane Crawford, a premier luxury department store in Hong Kong, seeks a Buyer dedicated to Jellycat to work with Brand Management on Sales, Inventory and Distribution excellence. You will support stock coverage and help meet seasonal and yearly sales targets.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in planning or buying in retail, preferably luxury fashion, and excellent English and Cantonese. MS Excel skills are required, with strong vendor management abilities.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with a minimum 3 years of planning or buying experience in retail, preferably luxury fashion.
• Able to deal with principals and vendors effectively.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and flexible.
• Strong analytical ability.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese.
• Proficient in all MS Office applications, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist Jellycat brand team to achieve seasonal and year-end sales targets.
• Conduct periodic sales and stock forecasts by seasonality.
• Master inventory management to maximize sell-through and mitigate stock risks.
• Monitor shipments to ensure on-time arrivals and adjust quantities if delays occur.
• Lead sales analysis by location and product range; report to Jellycat UK HQ.
• Ensure brand image and presentation follow UK guidelines and coordinate with internal departments.

Job description

Lane Crawford is an internationally renowned luxury department store with over 175 years of success, delivering an exceptional and eclectic product curation infused with dynamic Asian spirit and values. As our Buyer dedicated to Jellycat, you will work closely with the Brand Management team on Sales, Inventory and Distribution excellence. You will support the brand team in all aspects on ensuring the brand has a healthy stock coverage and be able to meet its seasonal and yearly sales target.

The Role

• Assist the Jellycat brand team to achieve seasonal and year-end sales target.
• Conduct periodic sales and stock forecasts by seasonality.
• Master inventory management to ensure maximize sell-through while mitigating the risks of stock shortages or overstocking.
• Closely monitor shipment deliveries to ensure stocks arrive on time to meet sales, and delayed shipments are also reviewed for quantity reduction, cancellation, or proposal of acceptance depending on needs.
• Lead sales analysis by location and by product range; provide regular reporting to Jellycat’s UK Headquarters accordingly.
• Ensure brand image and brand presentation be practiced following UK’s guidelines.
• Be the bridge and point-of-contact in supporting and coordinating all brand related matters with internal departments that include but not limited to Retail, Marketing, Digital, Projects, Finance, Logistics/Warehouse and etc.

The Ideal Candidate

• Degree holder with a minimum 3 years of planning or buying experience in retail industry, preferably with luxury fashion experience.
• Able to deal with principals and vendors effectively.
• Proactive, figure sensitive, attentive to details, and can work with flexibility.
• Strong analytical ability.
• Excellent command in both written and spoken English and Cantonese.
• Proficient in all Microsoft applications with advanced skills as required on MS Excel.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Buyer.
