Job description

Applications are invited for appointment as Business Development Manager at the Laboratory for Synthetic Chemistry and Chemical Biology Limited (LSCCB) located at Hong Kong Science Park (Ref.: BDM-LSCCB-202608), to commence as soon as possible, on a 1-year contract with the possibility of renewal. The LSCCB integrates chemical science and biomedical science for the development of new molecular medicines and diagnostics tools for the treatment and analysis of human diseases with a focus on cancer.

We are seeking a key driver for the commercialization of our innovative products. This role demands a disciplined, strategic, and relationship-focused business mind with a strong commercial bent.

Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree or above in Business, Biomedical Science, Healthcare Management or a related discipline. Prior experiences in biomed startups, medical device launches, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals or advanced materials commercialization are desirable. They should have a proven track record of driving commercial growth in product sales, and/or a history of successful product launches. Applicants should have excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).

The appointee will lead the identification of market needs and recognize the commercial potential of our advanced biochemical products and technologies; develop and execute commercial strategies that are contributing to marketing and branding efforts; drive business development efforts to negotiate, structure, and close complex partnerships, licensing agreements, and/or investment deals to accelerate product adoption and revenue.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
