Job summary

Yasha International (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Project Coordinator on Hong Kong Island to support construction projects from inception to completion. You will liaise between project management, site teams, and external stakeholders to maintain schedules and ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in commercial, tendering, or QS roles, with knowledge of Hong Kong tendering rules and local cost variations.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in commercial, tendering, or quantity surveying (QS) roles within the building/decoration industry; experience with Hong Kong local projects is preferred.
• Hong Kong Commercial Rules: Familiar with Hong Kong tendering rules, measurement systems, and common contract forms (e.g., Remeasurable Contract / Lump Sum Contract).
• Market Awareness: Basic understanding of the Hong Kong building and decoration market; familiarity with common material and labour rates and district-level cost variations is an advantage.
• Language Skills: English as a working language (able to read and draft English tender documents, contracts, and correspondence); fluent Cantonese is an advantage.
• Hands-on Experience: Exposure to PQ preparation or the full tendering and pricing process is preferred; independent leadership is not required.
• Certifications (Preferred): Holding or currently pursuing a Quantity Surveying (QS) certification or qualification (e.g., HKEi / RICS / ICES) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Tendering Support: Assist in or independently handle tendering for building and decoration projects in Hong Kong, including quantity take-off, cost estimation, pricing analysis, and tender document preparation; progressively develop into a commercially independent tendering professional.
• PQ Qualification Support: Participate in the preparation, compilation, and submission of Pre-qualification (PQ) materials; assist in ensuring successful passage of qualification review by clients and consultants.
• Cost & Pricing Assistance: Keep abreast of Hong Kong local material and labour market prices; assist superiors in developing pricing strategies based on district-level guidance rates; participate in commercial risk control for projects.
• Contract & Commercial Communication: Assist in contract communication, variation orders, and final accounts with clients, consultants, and subcontractors; able to handle English correspondence and commercial terms.
• Compliance Execution: Ensure commercial activities comply with Hong Kong construction industry regulations, tendering rules, and local contract systems.
• Hong Kong / Macau study or work experience is an advantage.
