Job summary

3cRGH is recruiting a proactive Project Quantity Surveyor (PQS) for a high-profile client, a global Tier-1 Main Contractor. The role focuses on major civil works in Hong Kong, handling cost reporting, variation assessments, payment apps, subcontractor admin and NEC change management.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Quantity Surveying, at least 7 years of QS experience in construction, and NEC contract experience (2+ years). MRICS/MHKIS is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of quantity surveying experience in construction works.
• Minimum 2 years of NEC contract experience on active civil engineering works (essential).
• MHKIS or MRICS qualification is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day QS duties including measurement, cost evaluation, variation assessment, and payment applications.
• Administer subcontracts, perform cost comparison analysis, and draft contractual correspondence.
• Assist in evaluating NEC Compensation Events, maintaining early warning registers, and managing risk logs.
• Prepare monthly cost-value reconciliations (CVR) and forecast final accounts.
• Liaise with client cost consultants, engineers, and site operations teams.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive Project Quantity Surveyor to support the project commercial team on major civil works. You will handle core commercial operations, including cost reporting, variation assessments, payment applications, subcontractor administration, and NEC change management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day QS duties including measurement, cost evaluation, variation assessment, and payment applications.
• Administer subcontracts, perform cost comparison analysis, and draft contractual correspondence.
• Assist in evaluating NEC Compensation Events, maintaining early warning registers, and managing risk logs.
• Prepare monthly cost-value reconciliations (CVR) and forecast final accounts.

Key Requirements

• Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of quantity surveying experience in construction works.
• Contract Expertise: Minimum 2 years of direct NEC contract experience on active civil engineering works (essential).
• Professional Standing: MHKIS or MRICS qualification is preferred but not essential.
