Job summary

Gravitas Recruitment Group (Global) Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Finance Business Analyst to join a global European investment bank on a 12-month contract starting January 2027. You will bridge business users and tech teams, helping automate accounting interfaces and drive core ledger projects across APAC.

Responsibilities include gathering requirements, designing target operating models, performing data testing and UAT, enabling ledger integrations, and collaborating with Finance, IT

• 5+ years of BA or Finance project experience in Banking/FS; front-to-back trade workflows a plus.

Job Title: Finance Business Analyst (Ledger & Accounting Interfaces)

Location: Hong Kong

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Starting January 2027)

Salary: Up to HKD 65,000 / month (depending on experience)

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive Senior Finance Business Analyst to join a global European investment bank on a 12-month contract starting in January 2027.

Joining the Finance Transformation team, you’ll act as the key link between business users and tech teams - helping automate accounting interfaces and driving core ledger projects across APAC.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Analysis & Requirements (70%): Gather user needs, turn them into clear tech specs, and help design smart target operating models.
• Financial Data Testing & UAT: Write test cases, double-check accounting entries, and lead UAT sign-offs.
• Ledger & System Integration: Help connect accounting interfaces, roll out system upgrades, and handle IFRS changes.
• Stakeholder Engagement (30% Project Support): Work closely with Finance, IT, and Ops teams across the region to keep projects running smoothly.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Financial & Accounting Expertise: Good grasp of accounting schemes/treatments, especially around financial instruments under IFRS.
• Data Testing & Validation: Comfort with digging into financial data and checking accounting entries across systems.
• Domain Exposure: 5+ years of Business Analysis or Finance project experience in Banking or Financial Services. Exposure to front-to-back trade workflows or financial products (Equities, FX, Fixed Income) is a big plus.
• Soft Skills: A self-starter attitude with great communication skills and a knack for building strong working relationships.
