Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a qualified Building Services Inspector to supervise on-site BS/EM works, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with contract and safety standards. You will manage labour resources, maintain records, and coordinate with project teams to deliver quality, compliant construction milestones.

The role requires strong document control, attention to detail, and the ability to travel for site activities as needed in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from HKC/Hong Kong institutions.
English and Chinese language proficiency at Level 2* or above in HKCEE/HKDSEE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Supervise on-site and off-site BS/EM works and monitor labour, progress, materials and equipment.
Identify and report any document discrepancies promptly.
Maintain and update site filing systems as directed by Project Manager.
Check material and equipment compliance against contract requirements and acceptance at delivery.
Inspect installed works for workmanship, drawings approvals and installation requirements.
Monitor daily labour strength and perform random compliance checks of skilled workers.
Ensure compliance with Construction Site Safety Manual and statutory requirements.
Prepare site progress reports for meetings and coordinate BS/EM activities.
Take site photos and witness testing/commissioning, maintaining records.
Assist in defect rectification, completion of outstanding works, and handover readiness.
