Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a resident Building Services Inspector to join its building services engineering inspection team. You will oversee construction works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and contract requirements, and maintain rigorous site documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Higher Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services Engineering from HK polytechnic or equivalent.
• Level 2 or above in Chinese and English in HKDSEE or HKCEE (or equivalent).
• At least seven years post-qualification local experience in building services works.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and high computer proficiency.
• Strong organisation, analytical, interpersonal and project planning skills.
• Diligent with initiative and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report discrepancies in contract documents.
• Comment and monitor installation programme submitted by Specialist Sub-contractors.
• Comment and monitor submission schedules (drawings, materials, samples).
• Comment and monitor ITAP, inspection schedules, T&C schedules and reports.
• Maintain site records and monthly returns; ensure proper documentation.
• Supervise building services installation works and monitor resources, materials and equipment.
• Attend final acceptance inspections with relevant parties including statutory authorities.
• Coordinate with Sub-contractors on T&C works and PASS assessments during construction.
