Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited in Hong Kong invites fresh graduates to join our construction team as site technical support specialists for MiC modular projects. You will work with senior supervisors, site management and engineers to ensure quality and compliance on architectural, structural and MiC works.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Building/Civil Engineering from a HK recognised tertiary institution.
• Fresh graduates or alumni with less than 2 years post-graduation experience are welcome.
• Able to read architectural, structural & MiC modular shop drawings; basic proficiency in AutoCAD & MS Office.
• Competent written & spoken Chinese & English for drafting simple site technical records.
• Fluent Cantonese; basic site safety awareness, willing to obtain Green Card & relevant safety certificates.
• Available for standard site hours & occasional overtime; ready to join overseas MiC factory inspection trips.
• Prior internship experience on MiC, precast or government construction site is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support to site management and structural engineers for architectural, structural and MiC modular construction works.
• Accompany senior supervisors on overseas MiC factory visits; witness tests and gain MiC production knowledge.
• Assist to maintain site record books, daily inspection logs, material sample files, test certificates, progress data and snag lists.
• Support verification of setting out, formwork, reinforcement, concreting and precast elements against drawings & contract specs.
• Assist concealed work inspection, sampling arrangement, site safety & environmental monitoring documentation.
• Help compile monthly progress reports and technical documents for on-site & off-site MiC mock-ups.
• Attend weekly safety walk, project coordination and MiC factory production meetings, take meeting minutes.
• Liaise with sub-contractors & foremen to resolve minor structural & architectural technical issues.
• Attend company-structured continuous professional training for general construction & MiC technology.
• Perform other site technical & clerical supporting tasks assigned by supervisors.

The Company engages in building construction and civil engineering works. China State Hong Kong is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong, and is approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the five major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Port Works”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks.”

Job Duties
