Job summary

Global Sports Jobs Limited seeks a seasoned AV Operations Supervisor for the Racing Division in Hong Kong. You will supervise front-line TV production systems and racecourse AV installations, ensuring smooth operation and contingency management on raceday.

You will lead system design and project management for racecourse renovations, coordinating with Property Project teams, AV consultants and Procurement, while upholding Responsible Gambling policies and legal wagering requirements.

Qualifications

• A higher diploma in Communication or Visual Arts with a major in AV Engineering, TV production or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience with an AV consultant, system integrator or TV station, plus venue AV system design and development.
• Experience in an AV industry managerial role with strong leadership skills.
• Good communication skills with fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Willingness to work long and irregular hours, including Sundays and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the front-line operations team to ensure the smooth operation of the Club's TV production systems and racecourse AV systems.
• Oversee all operational issues and contingency planning for AV and TV systems, performing system fall-back and recovery during raceday when required.
• Manage AV design and implementation for racecourse renovation projects.
• Liaise with Property Project teams, the appointed AV consultant and Procurement teams on AV system design and the tendering process.
• Lead end-to-end AV system design and project management for racecourse renovations, including technical planning, stakeholder coordination, tender evaluations, vendor management, budgeting and system integration.
• Assist the line manager on any projects as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with the Responsible Gambling Policy (RGP) and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club's business.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the line manager.

About the Role

The Chinese Wagering Program Team sits within the Racing Division's Broadcasting Operations function, which is responsible for live coverage of horse racing in Hong Kong, the production of related promotional video, the formatting of betting and racing-related information into TV graphic displays and documentaries for on-air and racecourse display, and the management of AV design and implementation for racecourse renovation projects. The Racing Division manages all aspects of Hong Kong's horse racing, covering the full value chain from importation and training to racedays, equestrian, welfare, integrity and international engagement. The job holder supervises the front-line operations team, oversees operational and contingency matters for AV and TV systems, and leads AV system design and project management for racecourse renovations. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Broadcasting Operations.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• A good sense of trends and the initiative to stay up to date.
• Self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently and willing to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills with fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
