Job summary

Vanderlande at Hong Kong International Airport (T2) seeks a Software Support Engineer to provide IT operational and technical support for the BHS software. You will monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot software components to ensure baggage flow and system availability, collaborating with vendors and airport operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with Linux/Windows Server, Oracle WebLogic, and database administration, plus strong debugging and incident management skills in a 24x7

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software/system support or IT operations, preferably in airport or industrial automation systems.
• Proficient in Linux/Windows Server environments, reading Java logs, XML messages, and WebLogic logs.

Responsibilities

• System Monitoring & Health Check: daily checks of BHS software, databases, and interfaces to ensure operations.
• Incident & Problem Management: investigate issues, escalate with vendors, prepare RCA and corrective actions.
• System Maintenance & Change Management: coordinate backups, patches, and releases; participate in testing.
• Database & Middleware Administration: basic Oracle DB maintenance, monitor logs, manage WebLogic servers.
