Job summary

Vanderlande Industries Hong Kong Limited is seeking a Maintenance Engineer II/III in Controls & Electrical to support high-availability baggage and material-handling systems at HKIA. The role requires hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting of PLCs (Siemens S7), HMIs, VFDs, and field devices, with strong CMMS discipline and RCA capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechanical, Mechatronic or Control Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting skills, preferably Siemens S7.
• Experience with HMI, VFDs, and industrial networks.
• Proficient in CMMS (Maximo) for maintenance tracking.
• Good documentation and RCA abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial automation and control systems.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of control systems.
• Utilize PLC programming tools to monitor, debug, and modify control logic for issue resolution and performance optimization.
• Interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams to identify root causes of failures.
• Maintain logs in CMMS (e.g., Maximo) and prepare incident reports including RCA.
• Identify recurring faults and propose control system improvements and reliability enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and ensure system availability.
• Supervise technicians during troubleshooting, repairs, and system restoration activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Work in a high-availability, safety-critical environment with rapid fault resolution.
