Job summary

Tokalent is seeking a Backend Engineer to help build core components of our Layer 2 DeFi protocol. You will work on back-end services, with touches to the front end, reporting to the Tech Lead and collaborating with engineers, product managers and business teams.

Ideal candidates have experience in C++/Rust and TypeScript with Node.js, plus Docker and serverless platforms such as Cloudflare Workers. Familiarity with Solidity/Go and open-source contributions is a plus.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of developer experience.
• Proficient in C++ or Rust; strong preference.
• Strong TypeScript (Node.js) and React knowledge.
• Experience with Docker and serverless environments (Cloudflare Workers).
• Bonus: Solidity, Go; open-source contributions welcome.

Responsibilities

• Build backend components of the Layer 2 DeFi protocol.

About the job Backend engineer - Layer 2 DeFi (For 852Dev)

Company

The company is a money-market, borrowing and lending protocol built on zk-rollup scalability, superior transaction speed, and cost-savings with Ethereums security. The protocol offers a dual solution: a permissioned and compliance-focused solution for institutional clients, and a permissionless service for decentralised finance (DeFi) users.

The team has extensive experience in traditional finance , startups, as well as leading DeFi protocols and well funded backed by top VCs in the space.

Responsibility

Looking for two backend developers to join the team and help build out the projects infrastructure. At its core, you will be responsible for building some of the key components of the protocol including back-end smart contract development and touching upon front end. The position will report into the Tech Lead and will work closely with other Software Engineers, the Product Manager, as well as the Business team.

Requirements

• 0-5 years of work experience as a developer
• Professional C++/Rust experience strongly preferred
• Languages
  • Must: TypeScript (with Node.js), React
  • Bonus: Solidity, Go
• Tools & Frameworks:
• Must: Docker, Serverless Computing (Cloudflare Workers in particular)
• Bonus: CI/CD
• Open-source contributions a huge PLUS
