Job summary

Tokalent is seeking a Backend Developer - Java to join a cutting-edge DeFi protocol backed by traditional finance institutions and Web3 investors. The role involves building the next generation of decentralized finance tools with a team of financial engineers, traders and technologists across the US, Europe, and Hong Kong.

You will work with Java, Spring technologies, and AWS to design scalable backend services and support institutional DeFi applications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of coding/programming experience.
• Strong experience in Java.
• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot / Spring Webflux (or Spring MVC) / r2dbc.
• Reactive programming with Reactor or non-blocking IO concepts.
• Good understanding of MySQL, database configuration, design and query optimisation.
• JUnit, Maven, Git, Linux experience.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, SQS, SNS, Route53, CloudFront, load balancing).

Responsibilities

• Work with the next generation of decentralized finance builders (DeFi 2.0).
• Join a team of Wall Street financial engineers, traders, quants and technologists reinventing permissionless finance for institutional usage.
• Collaborate with teams across the United States, Europe, and Hong Kong (hiring).
