Job summary

Selby Jennings, on behalf of a global quantitative hedge fund, seeks an experienced AWS Cloud Infrastructure & Compute Architect. You will shape scalable cloud platforms, provide architectural guidance, and collaborate with development, infra, and research teams to accelerate secure cloud-native delivery.

Role combines design, advisory, and hands-on implementation, with relocation support for suitable candidates and a global applicant base. Prior hedge fund or buy-side exposure is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions.
• Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure services, networking, and security.
• Hands-on experience with AWS compute platforms (EC2, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, Lambda).
• Infrastructure-as-Code expertise (Terraform or similar).
• Programming or scripting ability (Python preferred).
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.

• Design scalable cloud architecture patterns and best practices.
• Advise teams on cloud-native solution design.
• Support delivery of new applications and cloud platforms.
• Drive standardisation across cloud deployments.
