Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking AWS Network Operations Engineer (AWS) and Network Operations Engineer (Core Network Infrastructure) to ensure reliable cloud and on-premises networks across a global hedge fund environment. You will focus on network operations, production support, automation, observability, and reliability engineering.

Ideal candidates bring experience in AWS networking and cloud automation or core network operations, with strong troubleshooting skills and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in network operations, cloud networking, infrastructure operations, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, IPv4, routing concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management capabilities in production/high-availability environments.
• Experience with automation, scripting, or Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support production network environments
• Troubleshoot connectivity, configuration, and performance-related issues
• Deliver operational changes through automation and controlled deployment processes
• Build and improve observability, monitoring, and alerting capabilities
• Support network reliability, scalability, and operational excellence
• Contribute to automation tooling, CI/CD workflows, and operational processes
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, security, and trading teams
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and support procedures
