Job summary

Selby Jennings, on behalf of a global quantitative hedge fund, seeks a Core DevOps Engineer to design and maintain platform tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. You will partner with engineering and trading teams to boost reliability, automation, and developer productivity.

You should have strong Kubernetes (EKS), AWS, and IaC experience, plus a hands-on approach to observability with Grafana, Elasticsearch, or Splunk. Relocation support is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating infrastructure across hybrid environments (AWS and on-premises).
• Strong Kubernetes experience, preferably EKS, with production-grade deployments.
• Solid IaC experience (Terraform, OpenTofu) for scalable platform tooling.
• Proficient in Git workflows and mature CI/CD environments.
• Hands-on mindset for automation, monitoring, and reliability engineering.
• Familiarity with observability stacks (Grafana, Elasticsearch, Splunk/Coralogix).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement platform tooling and infrastructure to improve reliability and developer productivity.
• Build, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Manage environment deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure systems perform reliably in production.
• Build tools, APIs, and automation to reduce operational overhead.
• Improve monitoring, observability, alerting, and operational readiness.
• Develop and maintain integrations with internal platforms and services.
