Job summary

OCBC in Hong Kong is seeking a settlement supervisor to oversee daily settlement processes for investment products including equities, bonds, unit trusts and structured products. You will monitor bank systems and ensure accurate processing and approvals, while guiding junior staff and supporting the section head.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years in banking with investment settlements knowledge, plus strong people management and proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or above.
• 3 years in Banking industry, preferably with knowledge on settlement of investment products.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and drive results.
• Has product knowledge of equities and fixed income.
• Excellent PC skills including MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform daily settlement process of various investment products which include Equities, Bond, Unit Trust, Structured Products, SDS and Foreign Stock in Bank systems.
• Monitor the functioning of Bank Systems (e.g. ibroker, T24, IVS, CBS).
• Check and approve transactions in Bank Systems.
• Check and approve payment instructions in Bank Systems.
• Operate custodian platform for order settlement (e.g. Clearstream, Euroclear).
• Handle and monitor IPO stock / bonds subscription and settlement tasks.
• Handle physical share deposit and withdrawal.
• Handle Branch enquiries and follow up.
• Reconciliation monthly statement.
• Supervise and coach junior / new members of the section.
• Provide support to the section head and other team managers when required.
• Attend system training, prepare SOP and assist UAT project.
