Job summary

OCBC Bank (Hong Kong) Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned settlement supervisor to oversee daily settlement of equities, bonds, unit trusts, structured products, SDS and related instruments, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to management.

This role requires monitoring bank systems (ibroker, T24, IVS, CBS), approving transactions, handling custodian settlements (Clearstream, Euroclear), guiding junior staff, and contributing to SOPs and UAT testing; a strong client-focus and teamwork

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or above with 3 years in Banking industry, preferably settlement of investment products.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and drive results.
• Has product knowledge of equities and fixed income.
• Good knowledge of PC skills including MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address Operational challenges.
• Possess desirable attributes including being a team player, willingness to learn and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform daily settlement process of various investment products including Equities, Bond, Unit Trust, Structured Products, SDS and Foreign Stock.
• Monitor the functioning of Bank Systems (ibroker, T24, IVS, CBS).
• Check and approve transactions in Bank Systems; Check and approve payment instructions in Bank Systems.
• Operate custodian platform for order settlement (Clearstream, Euroclear).
• Handle and monitor IPO stock / bonds subscription and settlement tasks.
• Handle physical share deposit and withdrawal.
• Handle Branch enquiries and follow up.
• Reconciliation monthly statements.
• Supervise and coach junior / new members of the section.
• Provide support to the section head and other team managers when required.
• Attend system training, prepare SOP and assist UAT project.
