Job summary

Eddid Financial is seeking a Settlements Associate to oversee the complete settlement cycle across a diverse portfolio of global equities, futures, and options. You will monitor trades, resolve discrepancies, and work with prime brokers and custodians to ensure timely settlement.

The ideal candidate has a finance-related bachelor’s degree, strong MS Office skills, fluent English and Mandarin, and prior experience in settlements or middle-office roles. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in financial settlement operations or middle/back-office functions is advantageous.
• Strong MS Office (Excel/Word) proficiency and Chinese word processing.
• Fluent in writing and speaking English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete settlement cycle and asset servicing across a global equities, futures, and options portfolio.
• Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies, fails, and matching exceptions with prime brokers and custodians.
• Streamline daily workflows while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives including automation projects and system enhancements.

Key elements of the job:

Oversee the complete settlement cycle and comprehensive asset servicing across a diverse portfolio of global equities, futures, and options.

Optimize and streamline daily operational workflows to maximize efficiency while ensuring absolute adherence to stringent regulatory frameworks.

Proactively adapt internal systems and operational procedures in response to evolving market dynamics and continuous regulatory developments.

Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies, fails, and matching exceptions through effective collaboration with prime brokers, custodians, clearing agents, and counterparty settlement teams.

Serve as a key contributor to cross-functional initiatives, including operational automation projects, system enhancements, and regulatory implementation rollouts.

The ideal candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related discipline.

Proven experience in financial settlement operations or middle/back-office functions is highly advantageous.

Strong proficiency in the MS Office suite (particularly Excel and Word) and Chinese word processing.

Hands-on experience with Ayers and SharpPoint is a distinct advantage.

Fluent in writing and speaking of English and Mandarin.

Detail-oriented, quick learner, collaborative team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills..
