Job summary

Blue Insurance Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a Financial Operations professional to manage daily trade allocations and settlements with fund houses, custodians, policyholders, and vendors. You will prepare journals for settlements, oversee cash transactions, and assist with month-end closings and management reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Proactive, detail-oriented with good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in financial operation and reporting preferred (3 years).
• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Process daily trade allocations and settlements with fund houses, custodians, policyholders, and vendors in line with operational cut-offs.
• Prepare and post accurate double-entry journals for daily settlements, fees, and cash transactions.
• Perform daily bank and ledger reconciliations; investigate and resolve suspense items promptly.
• Support month-end closing schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and routine management reporting.
• Participate in team desk rotations (settlements, disbursements, reconciliations).
• Handle ad hoc projects as needed.

• Process daily trade allocations and settlements with fund houses, custodians, policyholders, and vendors in accordance with operational cut-offs
• Prepare and post accurate double-entry accounting journals for daily settlements, fee deductions, and cash transactions
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations; investigate and resolve suspense items or transaction breaks promptly
• Support month-end financial closing schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and routine management reporting
• Participate in team desk rotations (covering settlements, disbursements, and reconciliations)
• Perform any ad hoc projects/assignment when necessary

To succeed in this job

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Preferably 3 years’ experience in financial operation and reporting
• Proactive, detail-oriented
• Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Good team player and work independently
• Experience in AS400, Sinosoft and Oracle Fusion is preferred
• Proficient in MS Office (including Excel, PowerPoint)
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Senior Officer
