Job summary

DBS Bank in Hong Kong (One Island East) is seeking a Finance professional in Group Finance to support general ledger reconciliation, month-end closing, and regulatory reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, control, and cross-functional collaboration within a dynamic banking environment.

You will handle inter-company reconciliations, variance analysis, and the preparation of reporting schedules for group reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree holder with major in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• With more than 2 years of work experience; audit background or financial services experience welcomed.
• Foundational knowledge of banking products and their accounting and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong interest in process improvement and Gen-AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger to source reconciliation and support core financial accounting and control duties.
• Execute month-end closing procedures, including journal entries and supporting schedules for ledger posting.
• Assist in financial control activities, including inter-company reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies.
• Analyze material variances in financial results during month-end closing and document explanations.
• Prepare schedules and reporting packages to fulfill group reporting requirements.
• Participate in Finance projects to drive improvements in workflows and processes.
• Prepare HKMA regulatory returns and inputs for other regulatory filings as required.
• Support process streamlining and Gen-AI initiatives to enhance efficiency and maintain robust internal controls.
