Job summary

Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an experienced Settlement Specialist to manage the end-to-end settlement of equity trades across APAC, North America, and related markets. You will ensure accurate instructions, timely matching, and proactive resolution of failed settlements.

The role requires 3+ years in cash equities settlements with knowledge of CCASS, HKEX Client Connect, and SWIFT. Strong communication with clients and counterparties is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Cash Equities products.
• Knowledge of CCASS, HKEX Client Connect, SWIFT, and related settlement platforms.
• Knowledge of SBL, FX, and Equity Derivatives would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the settlement of equity trades and related products across APAC, North America, and Northbound trading markets in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure all trades are accurately instructed, matched, and settled on time.
• Monitor and resolve failed trades.
• Arrange stock borrowing across key APAC and North America markets to mitigate buy-in exposure and market risk.
• Ensure daily trade matching with counterparties.
• Manage cash funding requirements, including trade funding and pre-funding where required.
• Investigate and resolve nostro and custody account breaks promptly and ensure compliance with settlement regulations.
• Liaise with clients, brokers, counterparties, and internal support teams to ensure smooth settlement processes.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with traders, sales teams, affiliates, and custodians.
