Job summary

Charterhouse Hong Kong seeks an Assistant Construction Director - Civil/Geotechnical to lead the construction and planning team through reclamation, site formation, soil improvement and marine works. You will drive complex infrastructure programs from concept to completion, coordinating with clients and vendors to keep milestones on track.

The role requires a deep hands-on understanding of land formation in low-lying areas, strong leadership, and rigorous adherence to statutory regulations.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical or Construction Management.
• 15 years of planning and structural experience on complex infrastructure projects.
• Professional qualification with corporate membership is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in land reclamation and marine construction sequencing.
• Strong knowledge of statutory regulations and compliance.

We are now seeking for Assistant Construction Director - Civil/ Geotechnical.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the construction and planning team for the project development cycle including reclamation, site formation, soil improvement, marine works etc.
• Oversee land formation in low-lying areas to create stable building platforms.
• Identify key risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones are met.
• Lead tender programs and construction methodologies for government and private bids, ensuring resource-loaded schedules align with business objectives.
• Key liaison with top management and vendors for master program and facilitating progress reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Tertiary educated in Civil Engineering , Geotechnical, Construction Management with 15 years of planning and structure experience, primarily engaged with complex and sizable infrastructure projects
• Professional qualification with corporate membership is a plus to this role
• Proven hands-on experience in land reclamation, with deep knowledge of marine construction sequencing
• Excellent domain knowledge with strict compliance with statutory regulations
• A resilient leader with strong leadership qualities, exceptional communication skills and people management capabilities
