Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd is seeking a Cloud Services Engineer to join the Cloud Operations team. You will design, deploy and maintain cloud-based solutions across AWS, Alibaba Cloud and private cloud to support business applications.

The role requires 2+ years in cloud engineering, strong security and automation skills, and the ability to work with development, operations and security teams to ensure stable, cost-efficient services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering, including designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based solutions
• Understanding of cloud computing architecture and security best practices
• Knowledge of container orchestration platform such as Kubernetes
• Knowledge of automation and scripting languages such as Python, Terraform, or Ansible
• Experience with DevOps practices e.g. CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and monitoring tools
• Excellent communication with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and cost management strategies
