Job summary

First Global Corporate Finance Co., Ltd is seeking an Associate to join its dynamic Corporate Finance team in Hong Kong. This role offers exposure to advisory, M&A, capital raising, and regulatory compliance under HKEX rules, with direct involvement in deal execution from inception to completion.

You will collaborate with senior professionals, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver precise financial analyses, due diligence, and well-prepared documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in corporate finance or investment banking.
• Progress towards CFA or HKICPA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior executives with financial advisory, M&A, capital raising, and other corporate finance activities in compliance with HKEX Listing Rules.
• Manage transactions from inception to completion including pitch books, financial analysis, due diligence and deal viability assessments.
• Draft and review transaction documents, announcements, circulars, and regulatory filings.
• Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies (HKEX, SFC) and other professionals (lawyers, auditors).
• Undertake ad-hoc projects to support the team’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Transaction Advisory: Assist senior executives to provide expert advice to clients on financial advisory, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and other corporate finance activities in compliance with the HKEX Listing Rules.
• Deal Execution: Manage transactions from inception to completion, including preparing pitch books, conducting financial analysis and due diligence, and assessing deal viability.
• Document Preparation: Draft and review transaction-related documents, including announcements, circulars, and regulatory filings.
• Regulatory Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies, including the HKEX and SFC, as well as other professional parties (lawyers, auditors).
• Ad-Hoc Support: Undertake various projects and assignments to support the team’s strategic objectives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance Business Administration or a related field.
• Possess 1-2 years of relevant experience in corporate finance or investment banking.
• Progress towards a professional qualification (e.g., CFA, HKICPA) is highly advantageous.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• A professional of high integrity and strong work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
• A proactive team player who is solutions-driven, possesses excellent attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
