Job summary

Leadingnation is seeking a Restaurant Assistant Manager in Hong Kong to lead the front-of-house team in a modern French restaurant. You will oversee service, ensure the floor is prepared for guests, and support leadership in delivering a warm, polished dining experience.

You will manage interviews, train staff, supervise captains and part-timers, and maintain service standards and daily operations. A strong focus on guest satisfaction, teamwork and professional presentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years FOH experience in a Western restaurant, including supervisory experience.
• Fluent Cantonese speaker.
• Strong guest-service mindset; confident with bookings, greeting and table service.
• Able to guide junior staff and lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily floor operations and ensure the restaurant is fully set for service.
• Lead opening, closing and cleaning routines; maintain a safe, tidy and hygienic environment.
• Support Management in building a motivated, high‑performing service team.
• Handle FOH interviews, trials, hiring, inductions and on‑the‑job training.
• Guide Captains and Part‑Timers; monitor attendance, grooming and team discipline.
• Maintain proper table, station and bar setups throughout service.
• Ensure sufficient stock levels and mise en place; assist with weekly orders and monthly inventory.
• Help achieve sales targets through excellent service, upselling and strong menu knowledge.
• Manage reception duties: bookings, phone calls, guest greetings and VIP attention.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and ensure satisfaction before departure.
• Report equipment issues, breakages and low‑stock items; coordinate contractors when needed.
• Assist with roster planning, petty cash, daily cash‑out reports and basic admin tasks.
• Uphold a respectful, united and team‑spirited working environment.
