Agricultural Bank of China (HK Branch) is seeking an Assistant Relationship Manager in Institutional Banking Dept (Custody Services) to support end-to-end onboarding for institutional clients, including QFII/QDII investors and funds.
The role covers KYC/AML, document review, account opening, maintenance, periodic reviews, and coordination with Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Custody teams to meet SLA standards. Fresh grads with banking/KYC internship are welcomed.
Support Relationship Managers in the end-to-end onboarding process for institutional clients, including QFII/QDII investors, private/public funds (e.g., Unit Trusts, Mutual Funds, OFC, LPF), and corporate entities.
Collect, review, and verify customer identification documents, corporate structures, and constitutional documents in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal AML/KYC policies.
Conduct name screening, PEP checks, adverse media searches, and entity risk ratings.
Account Opening & Documentation:
Prepare, coordinate, and review account opening packages, legal agreements (e.g., Custody Agreements, Sub-custody Agreements), and standard mandate forms.
Liaise directly with client representatives, compliance officers, and legal counsel to follow up on outstanding documents and resolve onboarding queries.
Account Maintenance & Periodic Reviews:
Handle day-to-day account maintenance tasks, including static data updates, authorized signatory changes, tax form renewals, and account structure adjustments.
Conduct regular and trigger-based KYC periodic reviews for existing custody clients.
Internal Coordination & Operations Support:
Coordinate closely with Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Custody Support teams to ensure timely account activation and service readiness.
Assist in preparing regular onboarding status reports and tracking operational workflow to ensure SLA standards are met.
Ad-hoc Tasks:Assist in administrative duties and department-level client service projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related disciplines.
1-2 years of relevant experience in client onboarding, KYC/AML, account maintenance, or ARM support within a commercial bank, custodian bank, trustee, or securities firm. (Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience in banking/KYC will also be considered).
Basic understanding of custody services, institutional fund structures (e.g., Cayman SPC, HK OFC/LPF, Unit Trusts), or cross-border investment schemes (QFII/QDII) is an advantage.
Familiarity with Hong Kong AML/CFT regulatory requirements (HKMA / SFC guidelines).
High attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, and good analytical/problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and external clients.
Fluent in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.
