Job summary

Hong Kong Parkview is inviting high calibre applicants for the position of Assistant Manager – Western Restaurant. The role carries responsibilities including managing the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager, maintaining cleanliness, supervising service, and handling guest feedback in a luxury, all-day-dining setting.

Requirements include a Degree/Diploma in F&B or hospitality management, 6+ years in an international hotel/clubhouse, and strong English/Chinese communication with

• Degree or Diploma in food and beverage or hospitality management.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in an international class hotel, clubhouse, or all-day-dining restaurant.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and finance knowledge.
• Extensive wine and product knowledge.
• Strong leadership, communication and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
• Check cleanliness standards and liaise with relevant departments.
• Review production standards for food displays and advise the Sous Chef of inconsistencies.
• Assist Captains during service and with reservations, greetings and seating.
• Prepare reports and forecasts in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
• Approve requisitions and be aware of costs involved.
• Handle guests’ complaints and comments in the manager’s absence.
• Monitor personal hygiene, grooming and staff image.

Assistant Manager – Western Restaurant

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
• Check standards of cleanliness in the restaurant (including equipment, furniture, carpets, floor etc.) and liaise with relevant departments.
• Check standard of production on food products display and advise the duty Sous Chef of any inconsistencies.
• Assist the Captains during service.
• Assist with reservations, greeting and seating arriving guests.
• Prepare the required reports and forecasts in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
• Approve food / beverage / general requisitions / transfer forms in sections appointed and be aware of costs involved.
• Handle guests’ complaints and comments and takes appropriate action in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
• Check the personal hygiene, grooming and image of staff.

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in food and beverage / hospitality management.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in an international class hotel / clubhouse / well-established all-day-dining restaurant.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; Good Mandarin is definitely an advantage
