Job summary

Hong Kong International Airport is seeking an Assistant Manager, IT on a fixed-term contract. The role oversees requirement assessment, solution design, development, implementation and QA for infrastructure systems.

You will manage projects, coordinate with diverse stakeholders and supervise FAT/SAT/UAT to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. The ideal candidate has a degree in IT/CS/Engineering, 4+ years in IT project management, PMP/ITIL preferred, and strong communication and analytical

• Degree holder in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines.
• 6 or more years of relevant working experience.
• At least 4 years' experience in Project Management and Stakeholders Engagement.
• Possession of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or ITIL certificate preferred.
• Proven application development and support experience in large scale, mission critical systems.
• Working experience in airports and aviation industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager, IT in requirements assessment, solution design, development, implementation, QA and production commissioning.
• Act as the project manager of Infrastructure systems team to ensure timely, quality delivery within budget.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, contractors and suppliers for planning, project management and support.
• Provide technical collaboration and consultation for AA Internal users related to Infrastructure systems.
• Develop user requirement specifications and functional design for contractors based on business needs.
• Create project implementation plans and WBS; manage data, reports and contract compliance.
• Support project objectives, service delivery standards and timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
• Supervise contractors performing FAT, SAT and UAT.
• Monitor application system performance and implement fixes or upgrades.

Job Description - Assistant Manager, IT (263236)

This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities

Assist the Manager, IT to perform requirement assessment, solution design, development, implementation, quality assurance and production commissioning.

Act as the project manager of Infrastructure systems team to ensure timely, quality and within budget implementation of system.

Liaise and coordinate with a diverse range of internal / external stakeholders, contractors and suppliers in relation to planning, project management and support functions.

Provide technical collaboration and consultation for AA Internal users related to Infrastructure system.

Develop user requirement specifications, functional design and specifications for contractors based on business requirement.

Develop project implementation plans and work breakdown structure and manage data, reports and related information to facilitate project administration and contract compliance.

Perform project support / administration to assist in meeting agreed project objectives, service delivery standards and timelines, stakeholder expectations and user requirements.

Supervise different contractors performing FAT, SAT and UAT.

Monitor the performance of the responsible application systems to identify areas of possible enhancement; and resolve outstanding system issues by implementing fixes or upgrades.

Ensure smooth transition of system operations by providing instructions and expert advice to first level support staff.

Degree holder in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines

6 more years of relevant working experience

At least 4 years' experience in Project Management and Stakeholders Engagement.

Possession of Project Management Professional (PIMP) certification and / or ITIL certificate is preferred

Proven application development and support experience in large scale, mission critical systems

Working experience in airports and aviation industry is preferred

Excellent communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization.
