Job summary

Min Xin Insurance Company Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager for IFRS 17 Financial Reporting to support monthly close and analytics. The role collaborates with Actuarial and Finance to analyze IFRS 17 metrics and ensure compliance with HKFRS standards.

The candidate will manage reconciliations, journal entries and reporting deliverables, and coordinate with external auditors for year-end processes. A strong background in IFRS 17 and finance systems is required.

Qualifications

• IFRS 17 knowledge is essential.
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis for month-end closing.
• CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.

Assistant Manager, IFRS17 Financial Reporting

Our client is a major life insurer in HK. Due to team expansion, they are looking for a talent to join their finance team to support IFRS17 financial month-end closing and analytics

Key responsibilities

Assist with IFRS 17 reporting and financial analysis on a monthly basis, including preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and analytic reports to comply with Group and HKFRS accounting standards

Work closely with the Actuarial and Finance Departments on the financial analysis of IFRS 17 metrics

Coordinate with external auditors for audit and review processes for year-end closing to prepare financial statements and reporting deliverables

Manage end-to-end finance system enhancement and projects including development of user requirements, implementation, and UAT

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems or related discipline

Minimum 5 years of IFRS 17 financial reporting experience, preferably in the insurance industry

CPA or equivalent professional qualification

Knowledge and understanding in IFRS 17 is a must

Excellent presentation and written skill; proficient in Cantonese, English and Mandarin speaking

Detail minded, responsible and proactive team member is highly preferred
