Orient Overseas Container Line Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Corporate Process Data Analytics to drive data-enabled process transformation across space allocation, cargo flow and traffic management operations.

You will partner with IT and traffic management teams to define requirements, build dashboards and reports in Spotfire or Tableau, and provide training and daily support.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Business, Shipping & Logistics, Information System or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in shipping with traffic management or trade traffic.
• Good communication, analytical, decision making and problem solving skills.
• Self-initiative and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure with business sense.
• High proficiency in English and Chinese (Putonghua).
• Proficient in Windows applications; hands-on experience in Spotfire / Tableau is a plus.

• Support process transformation and digitalization initiatives for space allocation, cargo flow, and traffic management operations.
• Steer business system initiatives and requirements; prioritize development items with IT teams.
• Provide first-line support on application usage issues and coordinate production incidents resolution.
• Train new joiners and support users in effective application of systems and digital solutions.
• Analyze operational data, identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and analytical tools for performance monitoring.
• Support day-to-day shipment planning, disruptions and contingencies.
• Collaborate with traffic management teams on cross-functional projects and process improvements.

Accountabilities

• To support process transformation and digitalization initiatives for space allocation, cargo flow and traffic management operations.
• To steer business system initiatives and requirements, and prioritize development items with IT teams.
• To provide first-line support on application usage issues and coordinate resolution of production incidents.
• To provide training to new joiners and support users in the effective application of systems and digital solutions in daily operations.
• To analyze operational data, identify trends and opportunities, and provide insights to support decision-making.
• To develop and maintain reports, dashboards and analytical tools to support business performance monitoring.
• To support day-to-day shipment planning, operational disruptions and contingency situations.
• To work closely with traffic management teams and participate in cross-functional projects and operational improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• University graduate in Business, Shipping & Logistics, Information System or related disciplines
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the shipping industry with hands-on traffic management or trade traffic experience.
• Good communication, analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
  
• Self-initiative and sensitive to figures and details
• Able to work independently and under pressure; possess business sense
• High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua).
• Competent in Windows applications and hands-on experience in Spotfire / Tableau will be an advantage
