Job summary

Schindler Lifts (HK) Ltd invites an energetic engineer to join our tender team in Hong Kong. You will prepare tender cost estimates and steer order preparation to meet target dates, defining lift specifications per ESS and Group product lines.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, 1-2 years' tender experience in the lift and escalator sector, and strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills in Chinese and English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related disciplines.
• 1-2 years' solid experience in the tender preparation and follows up within the Lift and Escalator industry.
• Familiar with the components in Elevator/Escalator will be an advantage.
• Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-minded, organized with strong execution orientation.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Well versed in spoken and written Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender cost estimates and order preparation.
• Ensure that all tender cost estimates are issued in line with target dates set in Tender Estimate Schedule.
• Ensure that all ordering tasks are prepared and issued in line with target dates.
• Define the specification of lift to suit the clients' requirements in accordance with Schindler Elevator System Standards (ESS), Group Product Lines and also International & Local Elevator and Escalator Standards.
• Perform elevator calculations using the company approved tools e.g. car weight / machine / guiderail.
