Job summary

Schindler Lifts (Hong Kong) Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a Contracts Manager/Assistant Contract Manager to provide contractual advice and analysis on tender and contract documents, and to monitor billing and debt collections to support cash flow.

You will support Project Managers in post-contract activities, advise on variations pricing, final accounts, and ensure compliance with company policies; MRICS or MHKIS preferred, 3+ years post-qualification experience.

Qualifications

• University degree in Surveying or Quantity Surveying.
• MRICS or MHKIS with 3+ years' post-qualified/ chartered experience.
• Willing to travel on short-term assignments as required.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and writing skills.
• Fluent in English, Chinese and Mandarin; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide contractual advice and analysis on tender and contract documents.
• Billing and monitor collection of progress payments to maximize cash flow and minimize receivables risk.
• Support Project Managers in post-contract activities, including variations pricing, claims, and final accounts.
• Implement and monitor compliance with Organisation Norms and Limits of Authority.

Contracts Manager/Assistant Contract Manager

Provide contractual advice and analysis on tender documents / queries and contract documents.

Billing and monitor collection of progress / debt payments, maximize company’s cash flow and continuously minimize company debts or receivables risk exposure

Support Project Managers throughout the post-contract phase, including WIP and Sales / Project handover meeting, advice on pricing of variations, claims, preparation and negotiation of final accounts

Implement and monitor compliance of Organisation Norm and policies, especially Operating Net Working Capital and Limit of Authority of the company

Job Requirements

A university degree or above in Surveying or Quantity Surveying

Professional Quantity Surveying qualification (e.g. MRICS or MHKIS) with a minimum of 3 years’ post qualified / chartered working experience

Acceptmobility and short-term business travels when required

Strong analytical, negotiation and writing skills

Excellent command of English, Chinese and Mandarin;

Well versed in MS applications

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the positionof Assistant Contracts Manager
