Job summary

Citybus Limited in Hong Kong seeks an Assistant Duty Engineer to lead the technical team in handling stakeholder service requests and to oversee routine inspections, daily logs, and maintenance activities for meters and plant rooms.

The role requires 3+ years in building maintenance, safety training, and proficiency in English/Chinese. Office software skills and a driving licence are advantageous; candidacy may consider more experienced applicants.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or Degree in Building Studies/ Building Service Engineering/ Building Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience with engineering position in Property Management/ Maintenance Contractor’s field and/or related to Building maintenance.
• Holder of Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate is preferred.
• Holder of Registration of Electrical Worker Grade A/B, Completion of Professional Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Driving Licence which is an advantage.
• Understanding of furniture and facilities for various purpose being carried by the department.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Good communication skills and good team player.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical team in handling stakeholders’ service requests for technical services.
• Conduct routine inspections and prepare daily logs for meters and plant rooms.
• Arrange and administer the daily maintenance and repair work, as well as alterations and additional work on the company assets.
• Maintain good housekeeping of the department, including stock inventory and the management of spare parts in different storerooms.
• Co-operate with the Assistant Facilities Officer in arranging different orders raised through the SNA system.
• Ensure that contracted work is carried out with minimum disruption, within the specified time and resources, and to a reasonable standard.
• Monitor and review relevant building safety procedures and regulations to ensure that they are implemented to the required standards.
• Participate in ad hoc duties as assigned.
