About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Finance (Share Service) Department in Hong Kong, the Assistant Cost Controller is responsible for the day-to-day execution of cost control activities supporting a combined operation of 19 food and beverage outlets, banqueting operations, catering activities, and central receiving and stores functions. The position works closely with Culinary, F&B, Procurement, Receiving & Stores, and Finance teams to ensure inventory integrity, accurate cost reporting, compliance with company policies, and identification of profit improvement opportunities. The Assistant Cost Controllerreports to theCost Control and Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.

As Assistant Cost Controller, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Food cost control
• Beverage cost control
• Inventory management and governance
• Inventory system administration
• Recipe management and costing
• POS administration and menu maintenance
• Purchasing compliance review
• Receiving and stores control oversight.

As Assistant Cost Controller, we expect from you:

• Degree in Accountancy or related disciplines is preferred
• Above 3 years of relevant experience
• Previous experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage
• Familiar with experience in computerized accounting system, SUN System
• Good command of written & spoken English & Chinese
• Self-initiative, attentive to details and with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proactive, detailed-oriented, hands on, multi-tasking and able to work independently and under pressure
• Immediate availability will be an advantage.
