Job summary

Links International is seeking an Assistant Accountant for a 6-month contract in Hong Kong. The role covers full-set accounting operations, bank reconciliations, month-end closing, and assisting in monthly management accounts and audits.

The successful candidate will have a diploma/degree in accounting or related field, 1–4 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems. Immediate availability is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Higher Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Approximately 1-4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Hands-on experience in full-set accounting would be highly preferred
• Exposure to commercial companies, listed groups or sizable organizations would be an advantage
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting systems
• Detail-minded, responsible and able to work independently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Immediate availability / short notice candidates would be highly preferred
• Candidates with less experience may be considered as Assistant Accountant

Responsibilities

• Handle full-set accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger
• Prepare and maintain journal entries, vouchers and accounting records
• Perform bank reconciliation and maintain cash and bank records
• Handle month-end closing and prepare regular accounting schedules
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Prepare balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditors' information requests
• Support payment processing, expense checking and other daily finance operations
• Ensure accounting records are properly maintained and transactions are recorded accurately and on time
• Provide ad hoc accounting and administrative support to the finance team as required
