Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock seeks an Asia CTO & Global Cloud leader to define tech strategy, own the Azure environment, and drive modernization across Asia and global cloud platforms. The role combines regional leadership with enterprise accountability for secure, cost-effective cloud capabilities that enable AI, data and application modernization.

The candidate will lead a distributed team, partner with regional and global teams, and oversee governance, risk, and FinOps in a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of technology leadership experience.
• Experience leading multi-country technology services in Asia.
• Deep expertise in enterprise cloud, platform engineering, infrastructure, networks, operations, resilience, security-by-design and technology risk.
• Experience owning a major hyperscale cloud environment and leading multi-cloud strategy across Azure, AWS and regional cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior technology executive for Asia and adviser to Asia business leadership.
• Own the global Azure environment and enterprise cloud strategy across Azure, AWS and AliCloud.
• Lead Asia data centres, cloud infrastructure, networks and end-user services.
• Embed security and resilience into cloud/platforms with automation and runbooks.
• Lead major modernization programs and drive platform engineering across regions.
• Develop and nurture leadership across cloud, infrastructure, networks and operations.
