Job summary

Christie’s Hong Kong Ltd seeks a Contract Paralegal for a 4-month assignment starting February 2027. Based in Hong Kong, you will join Christie's Asia Pacific Legal team and report to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, APAC.

Responsibilities include legal research on art law and compliance topics, drafting NDAs and other contracts, supporting copyright clearance, and coordinating with artist representatives and internal departments.

Qualifications

• Final or penultimate year student or graduate from LLB or other LLB dual degree.
• Prior experience in in-house legal teams, barristers’ chambers or law firms is preferred.
• Diligent and reliable, with high integrity and confidentiality.
• Team player and ability to work independently.
• Highly flexible and adaptive to rapid changes in the working environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
• Excellent command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research into topics concerning art law, art finance, general commercial issues and compliance.
• Draft non-disclosure agreements, demand letters to debtors and other contracts based on global templates.
• Support copyright clearance and IP matters such as online infringement.
• Liaise with artist representative associations and internal departments.
• Assist with translations and template management.
