Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience recommended working within a transactional or corporate practice group, or an in-house commercial legal team — with hands‑on exposure to commercial contracts and investment-related NDA drafting.
• Fast and precise under pressure: thrive in high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
• Commercially and legally grounded with strong pragmatism.
• A clear communicator: written and verbal communication is crisp and concise.
• A self‑starter with a builder's mindset to improve team operations.
• Familiar with private markets; exposure to private capital, fund structures, or investor onboarding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep contracts moving. Own the prompt intake and first-round markup of investment-related NDAs and related documents, ensuring timely turnaround.
• Make the process more effective. Support Carta's UK lawyers with first-round drafting and ad hoc legal work.
• Build workflows clients can rely on. Set up and coordinate client workflows, manage document portals and drive contracts through to execution.
• Hold the quality bar. Deliver crisp, commercially sound contract support that balances speed with attention to detail.
