Job summary

Octopus Holdings Limited in Hong Kong seeks a mid-level Software Developer – Full Stack (.NET, React & AI) to strengthen our back-end systems and frontend capabilities. You will collaborate with multiple teams to turn business needs into robust architectural designs and scalable solutions.

The role requires 6+ years in system development with 2+ years in architecture, strong Java and Spring expertise, and fluency in English and Cantonese.

Qualifications

• University degree in CS/ISM/CE or equivalent.
• 6+ years in system development and IT operations, with 2+ years in an Architect role.
• Track records in completing architectural design or integration of small to medium-scale system or infrastructure revamp projects.
• Strong knowledge and proven experience in architectural design and relevant software development, implementation, integration and launch.
• Strong background in Java, Spring framework.

Job Responsibilities:

• Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

Product Realization

• Work in collaboration with multiple project teams to ensure consistent implementation across the Back-end Systems.
• Perform requirement analysis and transform clients’ business needs into high quality architectural design
• Prepare quality technical specifications, including but not limited to architectural specifications, data specifications, requirement specifications, end-to-end use cases, etc.
• Promote best practices and contribute to the building / enhancement of Octopus Software Framework or architectural processes.

System Management

• Perform / develop server installation, configuration, patching and maintenance on physical and VM server to provide sufficient resource for development team.

Knowledge Management

• Knowledge sharing within the organisation to retain knowledge to enhance quality, profitability and market share.

Job Requirements:

• University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in system development, and IT operations, with 2+ years in a Architect role.
• Track records in completing architectural design or integration of small to medium-scale system or infrastructure revamp projects.
• Strong knowledge and proven experience in architectural design and relevant software development, implementation, integration and launch.
• Strong background in Java, Spring framework
• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English and Cantonese to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
• Able to work under pressure and self-motivated.
