Job summary

Crestron Electronics in Hong Kong seeks a skilled Applications Engineer to support partners and customers with troubleshooting and deployment of Crestron solutions.

Based in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong, the role involves on-site and remote support, product knowledge, and collaboration with the Asia Technical Service team. The candidate should have 3–5 years in AV integration or technical support and hands-on experience with Crestron tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology or Computer Programming, or enrolled in a BS program.
• 3-5 years of experience in A/V Integration, Help Desk, or Technical Support.
• CCNA or similar networking certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Handle Technical Support cases and provide phone, remote assistance and on-site support to Crestron’s dealers and customers.
• Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application.
• Identify solutions for technical support scenarios, product selection and system design for audio visual system applications.
• Assist customers by providing technical information and support for our products and technologies.
• Maintain professional communication with dealers and clients throughout the process of resolving issues.
• Perform technical/product training for dealers and targeted accounts.
• Collaborate with regional team to identify customer needs and sales opportunities.
• Participate in marketing events to ensure Crestron messaging is presented correctly.

We are looking for a talented and self-motivated individual to work with our partners and customers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may occur with their Crestron's solution deployed at site.

This role will be based in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong and will report to Director, Technical Service Asia. The position will require traveling around the domestic regions as well as occasional North East Asia regions when required.

• Assist customers by providing technical information and support for our products and technologies.
• Maintain a high-level of professional communication with our dealers and clients throughout the processes of resolving their technical issues.
• Perform technical / product training for dealers and targeted accounts.
• Work closely with the regional team in identifying customer’s needs and sales opportunities to help future growth.
• Participate in marketing events such as tradeshows and conferences to ensure the Crestron messaging is presented correctly.
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in anyone of the following: Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology or Computer Programming or actively enrolled in a BS program.
• 3-5 years of experience in A/V Integration, Help Desk, or Technical Support
• Broad understanding of Ethernet networking technologies. CCNA or similar networking certification is highly desirable.
• Self-starter with proven ability to constantly learn new software and hardware technologies and an ability to quickly put that learning into practice in support of highly visible real-world projects.
• Experienced with several of the following: C#, Microsoft PowerShell, BacNET/IP and SIP/VOIP is highly preferred.
• Experience with Crestron’s proprietary software development tools, including Simpl Windows, Simpl+, Simpl#, D3Pro, Crestron Studio preferred
• Ability to prioritize and deliver with confidence in a fast-paced environment
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational sense
• Motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent Communication Skill both written and verbal.
