Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Vice President to lead the KYC Periodic Renewal for Wealth Management APAC. You will ensure compliance with AML and KYC policies while coordinating with bankers, operations, and compliance teams to enhance performance and client experience.

As a subject matter expert in Wealth Management, you will bridge knowledge gaps, mentor teams, and drive cross-functional collaboration to strengthen the control environment across global partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or related disciplines.
• 8+ years of KYC or related experience with understanding of KYC, AML and regulatory requirements (HKMA/MAS).
• Effective in a team setting, but also a self-starter with minimal oversight.
• Outstanding client management, partnership building, leadership and stakeholder management.
• Strong research, analytical and comprehension skills with ability to analyze client risk and controls.
• Demonstrated experience challenging processes and initiating change.
• Fluency in written/spoken Mandarin or Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Manage the team's pipeline/performance against key metrics and SLAs.
• Provide subject matter expertise and guidance; drive problem solving and decisions based on guidelines.
• Cultivate a strong team focus and client service culture.
• Act as escalation point for the team.
• Lead dialogue with partners/stakeholders to advance the book of work and improve processes.
• Drive initiatives to simplify workflows, improve client experience, and strengthen controls.
• Lead change initiatives and coordinate cross-functional programs with Technology, Product, and AML/KYC partners to improve scalability and automation.
