Job summary

Societe Generale seeks an experienced Functional and Application Architect to translate business stakes into technology strategies across Asia-Pacific, and beyond. You will coordinate architecture studies, align with strategic roadmaps, and support project teams through the development lifecycle.

The role requires strong technical background (C#, Java, Python), experience in global enterprise systems, and excellent communication with internal users and global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS or CE.
• In-depth experience in architecture, design and build, support or analysis across technology projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication at business and technical levels.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new environments.
• Interact with internal users to capture business requirements.
• Collaborate with global teams for project delivery.
• Experience managing and working with developers.
• Strong teamwork and leadership to coach others.
• Proven experience in Agile, TDD, and continuous delivery.
• Knowledge of Markets Products (FIC or EQD) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive IT demand management in front of business sponsors and IT stakeholders.
• Coordinate functional architecture studies to launch new projects.
• Follow the strategic roadmap, aligning with North Star Design Architectural Principles.
• Support project and application development teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate architecture matters as the single point of contact on transformation projects.
• Define and maintain architecture standards (blueprints).
• Gatekeeper of application recertification and documentation for Asia Pacific.
• Identify and share best practices in functional and application architecture.
• Review and validate architectural aspects of SG initiatives.
• Build and present projects in Design Authority forums.
• Manage users’ requirements and provide in-depth business analysis and solutions.
• Communicate and report to business and IT peers and senior stakeholders.
• Explore new technologies and drive improvements where possible.
