Job summary

BCT Financial Limited in Hong Kong seeks a skilled analyst to monitor fund performance and support reporting for MPF, pooled and ORSO schemes. You will assist in managing external asset manager relations and contribute to project coordination and efficiency improvements.

Candidates should have 3+ years in investment services, strong Excel and English/Chinese communication, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to analyses and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or relevant disciplines.
• At least 3 years of experience in investment or financial services.
• Good understanding of global investment markets and investment products.
• Knowledge of MPF and retirement funds is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office (especially Excel); Bloomberg/Lipper knowledge a plus.
• Strong technical and analytical skills; comfortable with figures.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze performance of fund managers and funds under MPF, pooled/ORSO, and 3rd party schemes.

Job description

This role performs fund performance monitoring, reporting and administrative activities and provide support on departmental projects in accordance to company policies and guidelines to ensure that those activities are performed in an accurate and timely manner and support department goal to enhance competitiveness of the BCT pension schemes and investment funds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monitoring and analyzing the performance of fund managers / funds under MPF, Pooled / individual ORSO and 3rd party schemes
• Prepare fund performance monitoring reports / presentations for Investment Committee, management, regulators, clients and internal departments on regular and ad hoc basis
• Provide support and contribute ideas to streamline operation workflow and improve efficiency
• Assist in managing day-to-day relationship with external asset managers
• Assist in managing scheme change projects, e.g. co-ordination of document changes and activities of external asset managers and internal departments
• Conduct research on items such as market outlook, investment fund strategy and MPF competitor landscape
• Maintenance and testing of changes to fund performance calculation and reporting tools / systems
• Take up tasks and projects assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree holder in Business, Finance, Economics or relevant disciplines
• At least 3 years of experience in investment or financial service industryGood understanding of global investment markets and investment products
• Knowledge of the MPF and retirement fund industry would be a plus
• Skillful in using MS Office Tools (especially Excel) and knowledge in using Bloomberg/Lipper a plus.
• Strong technical and analytical skills and sensitive to figures
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
