Job summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. invites exceptional PhD graduates to join our core R&D team as Precision Analog IC Designers. You will own the full product lifecycle—from circuit design and verification to silicon bring-up—under the mentorship of senior engineers.

You will gain hands-on experience, collaborating with Packaging, CAD, and Process teams to optimize power density and reliability for next-gen solutions, with growth toward expert design specialization.

Qualifications

  • PhD in EE or microelectronics and fresh graduate status.
  • Solid understanding of analog/digital circuits and IC design flows.
  • Familiarity with precision analog building blocks and error budget analysis.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with mainstream EDA tools for circuit design and simulation.

Responsibilities

  • Product Definition & Process Selection: Contribute to specifying new products and evaluating optimal process nodes.
  • Circuit Design: Execute circuit design from transistor level to system level.
  • Simulation & Verification: Perform circuit simulation and verification, develop test methodologies.
  • Layout Supervision: Guide physical layout to meet electrical rules.
  • Post-Silicon Evaluation: Lead debugging, characterization, and evaluation after tape-out.
  • Test & Production Support: Assist test engineers and product engineers in releases.
  • Innovation & Documentation: Propose circuit ideas and help prepare notes and data sheets.

Role Overview Join our core R&D team to design and develop state-of-the-art integrated circuits. As a campus hire, you will engage in the full product lifecycle—from circuit design and verification to silicon validation — under the mentorship of senior engineers.

Responsibilities:
  • Product Definition & Process Selection: Contribute to specifying new products and evaluating optimal process nodes.
  • Circuit Design: Execute circuit design from the transistor level up to the system level.
  • Simulation & Verification: Perform comprehensive circuit simulation, logic verification, and develop test methodologies.
  • Layout Supervision: Guide and verify physical layout implementation to ensure compliance with electrical rules.
  • Post-Silicon Evaluation: Lead debugging, characterization, and evaluation of devices after Tape-out.
  • Test & Production Support: Assist test engineers in developing test programs and support product engineers in product release.
  • Innovation & Documentation: Propose novel circuit ideas, conduct feasibility studies, and assist in preparing application notes, data sheets, and demo boards.
Qualifications
  • Education Requirements
  • Degree: Ph.D. degree (Fresh Graduates only).
  • Major: Electrical Engineering (EE) or Microelectronics.
  • Skills & Competencies Technical Foundation: Solid understanding of fundamental concepts in analog/digital circuits, semiconductor physics, and IC design flows.
  • Precision Expertise: Familiarity with precision analog building blocks (e.g., Op-Amps, ADCs/DACs, References) and error budget analysis (offset, noise, drift).
  • Problem Solving: Ability to analyze clearly defined problems and select optimal solutions from existing alternatives.
  • Communication: Effective teamwork skills with the ability to express technical ideas clearly in group settings.
  • Time Management: Capable of organizing assignments and meeting deadlines under the guidance of supervisors or senior engineers.
  • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with mainstream EDA tools for circuit design and simulation.
