Job summary

MoneyHero Group in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Engineer to own production features across backend services and frontend applications for our financial products. You will lead from initial scoping with the business through design, build, release, and operation, and contribute to the architecture and engineering standards of the team.

We are an AI-first engineering group; most code is written with AI tools, with clear specifications, codified standards, automated tests and strict human review.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders.
• Strong software architecture skills.
• Proficiency in React and at least one backend language (Node.js, C#, Java).
• Regular use of AI coding tools in production.
• Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder ownership: main technical contact for Product, Design, Business and partners.
• AI-First Delivery: direct AI tools, verify against tests and specs.
• Delivery Foundations: strengthen rules, tooling, tests, and security standards for AI delivery.
• End-to-End Development: design, build, and ship frontend and backend features.
• Architecture & Design: contribute to architecture decisions and reviews.
• Quality, Security & Review: review code, write tests, ensure security.
• Operations & Incident Response: maintain CI/CD, run on AWS, resolve incidents.
• Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: guide engineers and improve practices.
