Job summary
LexisNexis Legal & Professional seeks a Legal Editor to ensure the integrity and currency of legal content across analytical publications, legislation products, and digital databases. The role blends legal analysis, editorial expertise, and AI-assisted content development to meet customer needs while upholding publishing standards.

Qualifications
- JD, LLB or equivalent law degree.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and legal writing skills.
- Excellent editorial, proofreading, and attention to detail.
- Sound understanding of statutory interpretation, legislation, legal research, and legal publishing.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and online legal research tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, edit, and maintain legal commentary, analytical content, legislation, and related publications.
- Analyse legislative changes and implement updates across print and digital products.
- Draft and maintain editor's notes, dates, histories, annotations, cross-references, and explanatory materials.
- Monitor legal developments to keep publications current.
- Perform legal research to verify authorities and citations.
- Conduct proofreading and quality assurance across publishing platforms.
- Prepare original legal content and analytical commentary as required.
