Job summary

RELX (Greater China) Limited Company is seeking a Legal Editor to oversee the integrity and currency of legal content across publications and databases. You will combine legal research, editorial expertise, and AI-enabled workflows to deliver high-quality content on schedule.

The role involves updating legislation, drafting notes and histories, and collaborating with technology, product, and operations teams to enhance editorial processes and content offerings.

Qualifications

• JD, LLB, or equivalent law degree.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent editorial, proofreading, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of statutory interpretation and legal publishing.
• Experience with MS Office and online legal research tools.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience in legal publishing or editorial work preferred.
• Experience maintaining legislation or analytical content.
• Familiarity with legal databases and citation standards.
• Experience with AI-enabled editorial tools.
• Knowledge of XML is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, edit, and maintain legal commentary and publications.
• Analyse legislative changes and update statutory content across products.
• Draft editor's notes, legislative histories, cross-references, and notes.
• Monitor legal developments to keep products current.
• Perform legal research to verify authorities and citations.
• Proofread and assure quality across publishing platforms.
• Prepare original legal content and analytical commentary.
• Review AI-generated content for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with technology and product teams on AI workflows.
