Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) is actively advancing its Digital Transformation in corporate banking. We seek a Data & AI Specialist to drive Data & AI initiatives, collaborate across units, and shape ontologies and semantic models for enterprise-wide AI applications.

You will contribute to an AI-ready data foundation, scale domain knowledge structures, and leverage NLP techniques to extract actionable insights for customers and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
• 3+ years in a data/AI role, preferably in banking/financial services.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with LLMs and NLP techniques for unstructured data.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex data sets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Modeling: Analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights.
• Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across units to translate data needs into analytical solutions.
• Research & Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends to drive team innovation.
• Documentation & Reporting: Document methodologies and results for AI governance; present reports clearly.
• Generative AI/LLM: Use generative models to automate processes and improve efficiency.
• Research and design ontologies, taxonomies and semantic models across banking products and customers.
