The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce is seeking an Accounting Officer to manage daily accounting, treasury operations, and financial reporting for the organisation and its subsidiary/charitable body. The role requires meticulous accounting work, bank reconciliation, and timely filing of statutory returns.

Responsibilities include month-end close, budgeting support, liaising with auditors, and providing secretarial support to committees.

Formación

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in full‑set accounting or general finance operations.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with tax, audit and HK Companies Registry filing procedures preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and able to manage deadlines.

• Ad‑hoc accounting or administrative tasks as assigned by the Chamber.

Job Title Accounting Officer

Duties

1. Financial Operations & Treasury Administration
Handle daily accounting, payment processing, and treasury administration.
Manage bank transactions, compliance requests, and day‑to‑day cash flow requirements.
Maintain complete and accurate accounts for a subsidiary and a charitable body.
2. Financial Reporting & Compliance
Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing, including the preparation of management reports, financial schedules, financial analyses, and account reconciliations.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and tax reporting activities.
Liaise with external auditors and assist in completing the annual audit.
3. Secretarial & Administrative Support
Provide committee secretarial support, including meeting coordination and minute‑taking.
Assist with company secretarial matters and ensure timely filing of statutory returns with the Companies Registry.
Perform ad‑hoc accounting or administrative tasks assigned by the Chamber.

Monthly Salary Negotiable

Education: Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant working experience in full‑set accounting or general finance operations.
Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with tax, audit, and Hong Kong Companies Registry filing procedures is preferred.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and able to manage deadlines effectively.
Communication: Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with solid interpersonal skills for committee and cross‑departmental coordination.
Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Officer Position.
